Counselling in Haywards Heath
I see clients at held, in Haywards Heath, in a room upstairs, two flights up, in the loft.
That's not incidental. I moved my West Sussex base recently, from Balcombe, because I'd outgrown the room I was in. This work isn't only about what people say. I work with the body as much as the mind, and that needs space, room to move, room to stand up, room for the physical landscape of someone's emotional life to actually show itself, not just get talked about. Balcombe didn't have that. The loft does.
Being up two flights of stairs does something else too. By the time you're in the room, you've already left the ground floor and everything that comes with it behind. There's a settling that happens on the way up, a small but real sense of stepping away from whatever the day has been.
The people I see in Haywards Heath tend to be juggling a lot, family life, work, the constant negotiation of who needs what and when. It's different from what I see in Borough, where it's mostly single professionals working out who they are on their own terms. Here it's more often about how you hold everything you're already holding, partner, children, job, ageing parents maybe, and still find something for yourself in the middle of it.
I'm based at held as a therapist there, not writing on behalf of the centre. held has its own site if you want to know more about the centre as a whole, the other practitioners, what it does more broadly. This page is about what it's like to work with me specifically, in that room, on a Tuesday or whenever your slot ends up being.
Sessions are fifty minutes, weekly, £80. If you want to know whether this would work for you before committing to anything, book a free twenty minute appointment and we'll talk it through.
